Summer

Is officially here and I have been taking a break from creating in the studio. Here are some things that have caught my eye lately.

Just a reminder to take time for yourself and use your hands to make something. Whether you are planting flowers in the garden, at a pottery class, or doing arts and crafts with your kids. You will love the feeling at looking at something you made...trust me.

I haven’t been to art an gallery since my holiday in November to San Diego. This Summer I hope to find some inspiration while viewing incredible artwork. Shown here is David Hockney’s “A Bigger Splash.”

If you are new here I love interiors, homes that filled with pattern, colour, art and books. Personal collections and thrifted finds always speak to me. This home featured in House & Garden UK is charming.

I have so many images saved as ideas for new paintings. I thought a watermelon might be fun in a still life piece.

I recently received a beautiful handmade necklace and bracelet from my friend Jane Denton in New Zealand. She creates unique artwork and has recently begun selling her jewellery. Check it out here.

Yesterday my husband and I watched the first episode of “Stick” on Apple TV. I’m not a golfer but Owen Wilson and Marc Maron are always fun to watch. I laughed out loud a lot and am excited to see what will happen in this series.

If you have never watched a Homeworthy house tour on YouTube you are missing out. I enjoyed listening to the founder Alison Kenworthy chat about how she started her business four years ago on this podcast.
