The Blues...

...recently I even named a painting this. When I make a colour palette for a piece, inspiration is pulled from many directions. I tend to choose cool colours & never use warm shades such as red & orange. Things in our home such as decor & artwork, influence my choices even if I am not aware of it at the time. The obvious influence for many artists is nature, blue skies & green grass, so inspiring. Looking at my gallery as a whole, I've noticed these colours are often repeated.

This paint by numbers was a thrift shop find.

Ten years ago, this was our master bedroom (Jonathan Adler was my inspiration). This was before stencils were popular... this was all tape & laser level. I think turquoise is one of my favourite colours.
